Put it on the TV

The trivia board is a web page. Anything that can show a web page on the television will do. The address is the same every time: trinkotrivia.com/tv/CODE, where CODE is the four letters and numbers on your console or your phone. Four ways, most reliable first.

A. Using a laptop? An HDMI cable

  1. Plug the laptop into the TV and pick that input on the remote.
  2. Open the address in any browser and press F11 (or ⌃⌘F on a Mac) for full screen.
  3. The most reliable of the four, and the one to use in a bar.

B. The TV has a browser

  1. Most smart TVs do: look for Browser, Internet or Web on the home screen.
  2. Type trinkotrivia.com/tv/CODE into it.
  3. Click or tap anywhere on the TV screen once, so the sounds play.

C. Chromecast or Google TV

  1. Open Chrome on a laptop and go to the address.
  2. Chrome menu › Cast › pick the TV › Sources: Cast tab.
  3. Leave the laptop open. Closing the tab ends the cast.

D. Apple TV or AirPlay

  1. Open the address in Safari on a Mac, iPhone or iPad.
  2. Control Center › Screen Mirroring › pick the TV.
  3. On a phone, turn it sideways so the board is wide.

Once it is up

The screen shows the join code and a QR. Phones scan it, or type the code at trinkotrivia.com. Browsers keep a page silent until someone has touched it, so click or tap anywhere on the TV screen once; the console shows a green tick when it has sound. The board follows the game on its own from there. How it works ›

This didn't load. Bar wifi can do that.
