Terms
Last updated 10 September 2026. Trinko Trivia is run by CAMMY LLC ("we"). These terms cover trinkotrivia.com and the names that redirect to it.
By using Trinko Trivia you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose. If something here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.
Playing
Pick a team name that is fine to show on a bar TV. The host decides what stays on the board and can rename or remove any team. The host's call on answers and scores is final. You need no account and pay nothing to play.
Hosting
You must be 18 or older to hold a host account. Keep your sign-in email to yourself: anyone with the code sent to it can run your nights. You are responsible for the questions, answers, GIFs and links you put in a board, including having the right to use them. Do not upload or link anything you do not have permission to show, and nothing that is hateful, pornographic or unlawful. We can remove content, take a board out of the shop, or close an account that breaks this, and we will normally tell you why.
Your boards
A board you write is yours. So that the product can work, you give us permission to store it, show it on the screens in your nights, and, if you publish it, list it in the shop and deliver it to the people who buy it. That permission ends for a board when you delete it, except for copies already sold, which the buyers keep.
Anyone who owns a board, by writing it or buying it, may make their own version of it. A version keeps a note of the board it came from, and it can only be sold once at least one whole category is the new author's own questions. A board sold as a version credits the original on its listing.
Buying a board
A board is priced in US dollars and paid for on Stripe's page; we never see your card. Buying gives you the right to run that board at any venue, on as many nights as you like, for as long as Trinko Trivia exists. It does not give you the questions to copy out, publish elsewhere, or sell on, and it does not make you the author. A board priced at nothing is claimed without payment on the same terms. Prices can change, and a change never touches a board you already have. If we have to take a board you paid for out of your library because it broke these terms, we refund it.
Refunds
If you buy a board and change your mind, email us within 7 days of the purchase. If the board has not been run in a room, we refund it in full, to the card you paid with, and the board leaves your library. Once a board has been run its questions are out, so a refund after that is at our discretion; write to us anyway and say what went wrong. If a night fails because of a fault on our side, we refund the board. We may also refund a sale on our own initiative, for instance where a board is removed for breaking these terms; the seller's share of that sale reverses with it.
A free board has nothing to refund. Disputes raised through your card provider instead of with us cost everyone more; please write first.
Selling a board
You may publish any board that is finished, is yours or a qualifying version, and meets the rules above. Listing is at our discretion: we can decline, delay, reorder, hide or remove a listing at any time, and we do not promise that a board will be shown, found or sold. The buyer pays the price you set and we are the merchant of record for the sale. The card fee comes off first, then the platform keeps a percentage of what is left and the rest is yours. That percentage is shown in your dashboard. We can change it at any time without notice, and the new rate applies to sales made after the change; the split of each sale is fixed at the moment it happens, so a change never rewrites a sale already made.
A refund, chargeback or dispute reverses your share of that sale, whether or not it has already been paid to you; if it has, we take it off what you are owed next. We may also reduce or withhold your share of a sale if the board broke these terms, if the sale looks fraudulent, was made to yourself or was part of a scheme to game the shop, or if the buyer's payment fails or is reversed.
Getting paid
What you are owed is shown in your dashboard, and that figure is our record of it. If you think it is wrong, tell us within 30 days of the sale. We pay through Stripe, to the account you connect from your dashboard. Stripe collects your identity and bank details and, where tax law requires it, a tax form, under Stripe's own terms; we never hold them, and Stripe's terms govern that account. We are not responsible for a delay, hold, reversal or fee on Stripe's side. If you have not connected Stripe we may, at our option, pay by bank transfer to details you give us by email.
We pay on a schedule we set, currently no more than once a month and only when there is something to pay. We can change the schedule, set a minimum below which a payout is held over to the next run, and add or drop payout methods, at any time and without notice. We do not pay interest on money we hold. We may hold all or part of a payout while we look into a sale that appears fraudulent or disputed, while a chargeback is open, while your account is under review for breaking these terms, or where the law or Stripe requires it. We can set off anything you owe us against anything we owe you. If we cannot pay you because you have no working payout account, we hold the money until you set one up; if you still have none after twelve months we deal with it as the law on unclaimed money requires.
You sell on Trinko Trivia as an independent creator, not as our employee, agent or partner. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. We report what the law requires, may ask you for a tax form before we pay, and withhold where the law tells us to. We make no promise that you will earn anything.
Inviting hosts
Every host has an invite link. A host who signs up on your link is credited to you from that moment, for the period shown in your dashboard, and you earn a share of their sales, taken from the platform's cut; it costs them nothing. Attribution is set once, at signup, and cannot be transferred. The share, the period and the program itself can be changed, paused or ended at any time without notice; a change applies to sales after it, and a sale already made keeps its split. We can refuse or reverse referral credit for a signup that is you under another name, that was bought, or that otherwise games the program.
The service
Trinko Trivia is provided as is. We can change, pause or withdraw any part of it, including the shop, at any time without notice. We work to keep it up during your night, but we cannot promise it will never fail, and we are not liable for a night that goes wrong, for lost sales or profits, or for anything indirect. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending things
You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time; anything you are owed is paid on the next run, less anything set off. We can suspend or close an account at any time, with or without a reason, and we will normally say why. If we close an account for breaking these terms we can keep what would otherwise be owed to cover refunds, chargebacks and our losses, and pay any remainder on the usual schedule. Boards already sold stay with their buyers. If we ever shut the service down we will give hosts notice where we can and a way to export their boards.
Changes and law
We may change these terms at any time. The version posted here, with the date at the top, is the one that applies; a change takes effect when it is posted. We will try to flag a material change on the dashboard, but using Trinko Trivia after a change means you accept it, and if you do not, stop using it and delete your account. These terms are the whole agreement between us about Trinko Trivia and replace anything said or written before; if a court finds part of them unenforceable the rest still stands. They are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and of the United States, and any dispute is brought in the state or federal courts in Florida.
